Our team supports minimally interventional obstetric care with utmost care to the wishes, desires and safety of our clients.

We follow evidence based medicine and approach pregnancy as a wonderful natural phenomenon and not as a medical condition that requires treatment.

We specialise in high risk and multiple pregnancies (twins), and we offer vaginal birth after Caesarean section (VBAC) services.

Prenatal Screening

Prenatal screening tests can identify whether your baby is more or less likely to have certain birth defects, many of which are genetic disorders. These tests include blood tests, a specific type of ultrasound and prenatal cell-free DNA screening.

Pregnancy consultation

Pregnancy consultations are individualised sessions that review clients personal medical and surgical history, family history and previous obstetric records.

During the consultation parameters such as height, weight and blood pressure will be recorded. You will also be offered a baseline pelvic scan to review the womb, neck of the womb (cervix) and ovaries. Lifestyle habits and support mechanisms will also be review in a holistic manner and clients will be given the opportunity to discuss birth options and plan.

Induction of labour

Induction of labour is the process that stimulates childbirth and delivery. Inducing labour can be accomplished with pharmaceutical or non-pharmaceutical methods. As part of your individualised care plan you will discuss with our team your preferences and together formulate a plan that is suitable and safe for you and your baby.

Vaginal birth - Natural birth

Natural birth is an exciting and unforgettable moment that can be experienced by a large percentage of women. Normal labour usually takes place between the 37th and 42nd week of pregnancy and is divided into three phases: latent, when the symptoms of labour begin, the moment of birth and the delivery of the placenta. It is a completely safe process, that is carefully monitored by our team to prevent problems that may affect the health and safety of the mother and baby

Caesarean section

Cesarean section or C-section is the surgical delivery of a baby through a cut (incision) made in the mother's abdomen and womb. We offer this method of delivery when it is safer for the mother, the baby, or both. The incision made in the skin may be sideways or up-and-down (vertical).

VBAC

Vaginal birth after Caesarean section is offered to all women who desire to achieve a vaginal birth with a singleton pregnancy of cephalic presentation at 37+0 weeks or beyond who have had a single previous lower segment caesarean delivery, with or without a history of previous vaginal birth as per RCOG guidance.
